Coronavirus Emergency Relief

The coronavirus lockdown has comfortably cooped most of us at home. At the other end of the spectrum, however, a considerable amount of people are struggling to make ends meet. These include marginalised communities in the unorganised sector, such as daily wagers, street vendors, construction workers, and laborers, who are terribly affected by the economic and social repercussions of the coronavirus.

Our response to the Coronavirus outbreak included:

1) Food assistance for widows and orphaned children and daily waged workers bearing the brun of the lockdown as they have been left with no means of earning. The Food packs were designed to last a family for approximately 15 days

Ration Pack included:
Rice 5 kg, Whear Flour 5 kg,, Dal (Lentils) 2 kg, Oil 2 ltr, Sugar 2 kg, Salt 1kg

2) Hygiene packs which helped to ease some of the extra burdens facing them in these troubled times. Hyguene pack Included: Mask 5pcs, Hand Wash 1bottle, Bathing Soap 1 bar, Washing powder 1kg, Washing bar(utensils) 1bar

3) Awareness-raising leaflets on how to keep safe.

4) Distribution of PPE to doctors
