Cyclone Tauktae

India was slammed by the strongest storm on record to reach its west coast.

Tropical Cyclone Tauktae, a storm with wind speeds equivalent to a high-end Category 3 hurricane that formed in the Arabian Sea, made landfall on the west coast of India.

The cyclone has killed many people across the coastal states of Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra.

The deaths were due to drowning at sea, house collapses, lightning strikes and other accidents linked to the severe weather, according to states' disaster management authorities.

With the support of our generous donor's we extended a helping hand to few familes affected by cyclone Tauktae along the coast of Maharashtra by providing them with provisions like bricks, sand cement and roofs to rebuild their damaged houses.
